Synopsis

In 1998, Samuel Khachikian, one of the greatest and most well-known Iranian filmmakers of pre-revolutionary Iranian cinema, had an interview with the monthly magazine Film. This documentary is an illustration of that interview, based on the original voice recording on an old audio cassette, heard here for the very first time.

Omid NajvanOmid Najvan

Born in Tehran in 1970, Omid Najvan is an Iranian filmmaker. He started his career as a writer, journalist and film critic in Culture & Cinema magazine Afterwards he joined the Sahar Universal Network and directed several TV programs in English like Silver Screen, The Prophet of Peace, The Feast of Fast etc. The short documentary series The Hand and the Creativity (1999) was his first step towards making documentary films.
