Synopsis
Safoora is a legendary figure in the ritual culture of Hawraman, Kurdistan, a local manifestation of the goddess Anahita in her time. Legend has it that Safoora Khatun decreed the village women gather every year during the month of Ordibehesht (April-May) to perform a ritual to heal the sick and bring rain.
Parviz Rostami
Born in 1977 in Oraman Takht, Parviz Rostami has studied painting in university. He holds a degree in documentary film directing from the Iranian Cinema Department. He made his first film My Shoes in 2001. Within the last two and a half decades of working in film, Rostami has made around 20 short films, 7 mid-length films and 3 TV series. He is a member of the Visual Arts Association.
